I don’t have one thing, but I have a toolkit depending on what is needed.
Fictional books are definitely on the list.
Maybe a Netflix box set but not often, maybe more likely to resort to Friends.
A walk in the hills.
And I want to add spa day, but not found the perfect place to escape yet.
Of course it depends what you are escaping from, and what you need, but it’s great to have a few things in your toolkit that are guaranteed to help you escape. Otherwise you may find yourself just resort to work, or picking up that non-fictional book, or listening to that work related podcast! And that doesn’t count!
Yoga is my escape: classes, workshops and retreats.
Also walking the dog.
