So we are at day 20… thank you for staying here!
But a few people have already unsubscribed.
That is a feeling you need to get used to when you have an email list. It ebbs and flows, it goes warm and cold.
But ‘unsubscribe’, it can feel personal, but it’s ok that not everyone wants to follow, that people decide you aren’t for them, that they need a break - and it’s not just email lists.
How much stuff do we need to ‘unsubscribe’ from in our lives?
I want to unsubscribe from the voice in my head telling me that my second book is terrible, that my I should stop all this self employed nonsense and get a real job, from the nagging feeling that I need to clear out the office cupboards.
I also want to unsubscribe from social media noise, from bullying, from harassment, from climate change worries - but unsubscribing doesn’t make it go away.
Somethings we absolutely should unsubscribe from, its not for us, we are getting nothing from it.
Other things we should embrace, and subscribe to, even it feels a bit uncomfortable.
(Thank you to everyone who is still here and getting involved and subscribing - it’s great to have you here)

What do you need to Unsubscribe?
I unsubscribed from my book club recently. It’s run for more than 10 years and been a great source of fun and friendships but, for me, it’s time for something new.
Oh, and self employment is a ‘real’ job! The grass may look greener but it’s rarely very different on the other side ...
On a literal level I need to unsubscribe from a number of email lists that I don't know how I ended up on. I haven't managed it yet because a little voice tells me that unsubscribing proves you are real and results in more emails!
On a more metaphorical level I need to unsubscribe from the idea that I always need to be available for my family, and not feel guilty or pressured when taking time for myself.
We don't need the people who have unsubscribed from this. They were never really here anyway
