When we work with people who want to make changes to how they work there is always a moment of ‘this is getting uncomfortable, I want it to stop’.
At this point the person will either let go and retract into a comfortable place (but not where they want to be). They choose uncomfortably comfortable.
Or they hold on tight, and ride out the uncomfort. They choose comfortably uncomfortable. And they keep going to where they want to be.
Make change in your life will not be comfortable.
Even if it’s everything you want and need.
Embrace being uncomfortable.
When you are uncomfortable it means you are trying, you have started, you are acknowledging that things are going to change.
Do not fear being uncomfortable, it’s not our goal in life to have a comfortable life.
