So often we just look as far as we can see. We know as much as we know and we hear what we’ve already heard.
We work hard to stay still.
Finding things to give us excuses, things to blame, things get in our way. We let ourselves be ok with being comfortable, even if our comfortable is not really what we want.
Change takes some work.
If we want to change our health, our fitness, our circumstances, the way we work, then we have to be prepared to put in the work. Work to rethink.
And sometimes that is the only thing between you and what you want, the work. Rethinking doesn’t have to be hard work, it can be fun, it can be entertaining, it can be a revelation. It can start with just small changes, it doesn’t have to be a huge transformation.
But it always has to be yours.
Rethinking has to be your way, through your filters, through your thoughts, your values, your drivers. You don’t have to have pre determined goals, you might find them on your way, you don’t have to have life changing ambitions, you just have to be curious, to wonder if there is a different way to do what you are doing. Because there is. The person you sit next to at work does it differently. The person next door does life differently. All of your family, friends, network does eating, drinking, sleeping, thinking differently.
Being more conscience about why you do what you do, and acknowledging you have more of a say in it than you might think, is the first step to rethinking work.

What is Rethinking to you?
Rethinking will be about finding out what my 'why' is instead of saying yes to every opportunity that presents itself. Some of these opportunities do not align with my values and cause conflict instead of harmony. However, I enjoy the constant change.
Rethinking the time I go to bed to give me more time to read on a regular basis.
And instead of going clothes shopping, I looked deeper into my wardrobe instead! I found 3 'new' items of clothing over the last month this way
