“One moment of patience may ward off great disaster. One moment of impatience may ruin a whole life.” - Chinese Proverb
When you want to start something new, or you set a goal, or you want promotion, or a sales target - whatever your success is, when you set yourself off on that course to pursue it, what we rarely bake in is patience.
We make bold decisions, we take brave steps, we put ourselves out there, we might even hustle, it’s all about getting busy on the goal. But action does not always equal immediate result. We need patience as well as boldness.
And sometimes we confuse the need for patience with giving up or failing.
Patience means that we never give up, we are just holding space.
Patience means we haven’t failed, it just hasn’t happened yet.
Patience is not the ability to wait, but the ability to keep Ok while waiting.
So the next time you feel like something isn’t working, or you feel like giving up, or you think you have failed - maybe try patience instead?
"Two things define you: your patience when you have nothing and your attitude when you have everything." - George Bernard Shaw

Do you do Patience?
Patience is definitely a challenge for me and that quote is very profound. I’m going to print it out and stick it to the wall as a reminder.
This one really resonated! I am not by nature a patient person and can definitely recognise the feeling of failure when actually I just need to wait. I have no easy answer to this apart from trying to practice it more!
