My favourite Saturday afternoon podcast is Annie Mac ‘Changes’. Always great guests and chat.
I’ve had the episode with Nick Grimshaw on my list for months, and finally got to it this weekend.
They talk about leaving their long term careers, without a clue what to do next. And the feeling of regret, worry, freedom, curiosity that comes in the space in-between.
They also talk about getting up each day and having absolutely nothing in the diary. Going from a busy, hectic, over-spilling day to nothing.
And the luxury of afternoon naps. But also how outrageous and naughty it feels. Even when you have absolutely nothing else to do.
And they talk about the urge to fill your days.
Because from childhood they have been pre-programmed to think about being busy and finding things to do, and how it is unacceptable to do nothing.
A brilliant listen.
So much to think about, especially if you are in that space in-between.
What’s your weekend favourite podcast?
Do you take afternoon naps?
