I cant go on, no, no, no... who sung that? I’ll be back in a minute after a quick Google. Ah Donna Summer of course. A sort of empowering call to action on the disco floor kind of a song.
Ill try not to start all these notes with song references, but thinking of words just does that to me. Think of a word, I’ll give you a song!
But back to Enough.
Just like Donna urges us to do, enough can be the moment you draw the line. You say, that’s it, it’s time to change things. It’s the moment when you decide action is required. You are rejecting the present and setting yourself up for a new future.
Enough is the start of something new.
Enough can also be acceptance.
You are good enough - a popular gif, Instagram motivational tile, chapter headline in a self help book - you are enough. But do you feel that? Do you feel enough? What is enough? Maybe enough is ours to decide.
Sometimes you aren’t good enough. Or at least you didn’t match someone else’s good enough. And that someone else happened to have the power in that circumstance. That’s all not being good enough really is. A mismatch. And maybe we can be Ok with that.
Enough can also about having.
Having enough stuff. Having enough around you. Being content - you have enough. You have more than enough. Christmas always feels like there is more than enough. More than enough stuff that noone anywhere ever should be without enough. But some of us have want more than enough, more than we need. And some of us have less than we what we need.
Enough is not of equal measures, but somehow it feels it should be.
And on that note, I think that’s enough for today.

What is Enough to you?
A word with many facets. Being good enough is one version that resonates with me, belief in oneself is something that often needs work. Had 'enuff' is also a common refrain round here.
