"Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much” – Helen Keller
Collaboration takes a bit of creative thought. The best collaborations are maybe what we don’t expect, but then feel so obvious.
Starbucks and Spotify - Musical eco-system
Kanye and addidas - Yeezy footwear
AirBnB and Flipboard - Experiences and Trips
When we are feeling a bit stuck, needing a fresh perspective, a new idea, collaboration might be exactly where the solution lies.
This note was inspired by possibly the greatest music collaboration of the year. No not Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran, too obvious, too straight forward.
Instead NKOTB, Rick Astley, En Vogue and Salt n Pepper.
YES! They have come together to create a big huge dose of nostalgia and smiles, maybe just exactly at the moment we needed a big huge dose of smiles!
If they’d all individually made a comeback it might’ve been kind of interesting, especially for true fans, but to make a big splash united comeback, to get people talking from outside the fan base, well that needed a bit more creativity.
And here I am sharing their collaboration.
So, if you are feeling a bit stuck, and thinking all alone isn’t working, consider the possibility of a collaboration. It might be the source of the solution.
And here is the film for those intrigued!
I’m sure you have better examples of collaborations! Or examples of your own. But do they really beat this one!?
